Delete your Hanamaru account
Last updated
Hanamaru is published by Nagy Tamás Dávid. You can delete your account and its data in the app, or ask us here if you can’t use the app.
Delete in the app
Open Hanamaru and go to Settings › Account › Delete account. Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone.
If you use Hanamaru without an account, your progress is stored only on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or Settings › Privacy & data › Reset local data, erases it. If you backed it up without an account, use Delete backup and reset on the same screen.
What we delete
- Your account and sign-in methods
- Your profile and settings
- Your learning progress and review history, streak and XP
- Your exam results, notes and lists
- Your feedback messages and consent records
- Your record with our purchase service
What may be kept
- Mistake reports you sent about our content, without any link to you
- Purchase records that Apple and Google keep for tax and legal reasons
- Backups, which roll off within 30 days
- A record that a deletion happened, stored as a one-way hash with no personal data
Your subscription
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Hanamaru Plus subscription. Apple and Google bill it, so cancel it in the store: App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.
If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove Hanamaru at appleid.apple.com, under Sign in with Apple.
Ask us to delete your account
Enter the email address of your Hanamaru account. We’ll email that address, and when you reply from it we delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days. This also removes the address from our waitlist, if it’s on it.
